We tell our new agents that there are two ways to get fired. One is if you don’t produce, but the other is if you miss a family event. Whether it’s your kid’s baseball game, a play, or musical, if we find out you missed it for work, there’s going to be problems. How We Train Our Agents
At Royal Commercial Real Estate, we are committed to giving agents new to commercial real estate the best start on their career possible through mentorship and cutting-edge education. We have a training program like other agencies, but we go beyond PowerPoint presentations with hands-on training in the field. That’s where the real learning takes place. When we can walk an agent through a situation in the field, what we are teaching them makes sense with what they will be experiencing.
We spend as much time with our agents as they need in order to teach them the process in the right way. They can count on us to provide support whenever or wherever they need it, from writing a lease to talking to client to engaging in a listing meeting. Robert and I are just a phone call away for all of our agents, 24/7.
Most of our new agents that we mentor understand the language of the deal in three to six months. By that time, they are out in the field, communicating with other agents with confidence. They are finding out that every deal is different, and that the learning process never stops. For us, that is what makes this business interesting, and we enjoy that challenge.
